The basics
How it works
From lobby to leaderboard in under a minute. No tutorials required.
Step 1: Look at the mixed-up letters. Tap Shuffle to mix them again, as often as you like.
Step 2: Spell the word. A right one is sent by itself.
Step 3: Find it first and the round is yours.
Easy and medium words have no hints. A hard word starts with its first letter shown, and one 💡 hint shows the second for 150 🪙 and 15 s of your time. In a live match and a duel, a medium word shows its first letter after 15 s, and with 20 s left any word shows one more letter, for free.

Play right now, against someone online.
A match is 10 rounds and is paid once, before the first: 10 times the arena's cost. Its winner takes the reward and +20 XP; a draw splits it. Leaving a match that has begun loses it.

Play whenever it suits you; someone plays the same words later.
The match cost is paid when you start. If nobody plays your duel within 48 hours, or it ends in a draw, your coins come back.

One minute: unscramble as many words as you can.
Your first try each day is free, then 50 / 100 / 200 🪙. The day's places 1–3 get up to 1000 / 500 / 250 🪙 the next day: the prizes grow with every player.

Frequently asked
Is Scramblio free to play?
Yes. The app is free to download and play. You start with a coin balance and earn more through daily rewards and winning matches. Optional in-app coin packs are available but never required to play.
Are coins real money?
No. Coins are virtual items used only inside Scramblio. They have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for real money, and are not transferable outside the app. This is a skill-based word game, not gambling.
Do I need an account to play?
No. You can play instantly as a guest. Creating a free email or Google account lets you save your coins, stats, and leaderboard rank across devices — and earns you a one-time +50 coin welcome bonus.
How does matchmaking work?
Pick the language of the words and an arena on the home screen, then tap Live match. You are paired with someone who chose the same language and arena; if nobody is free, a practice opponent steps in so you never wait. You can also create a private room and send a friend the code or the link.
What is the practice bot?
A practice opponent that steps in when no other player is free, so a live match can always start. You play it like any other match: the same words, the same 60 seconds, the same letter hints.
What languages are supported?
17 languages: English, Romanian, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Hungarian, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, Indonesian and Vietnamese.
How do letter hints work?
Only hard words get them. A hard word longer than four letters starts with its first letter shown, for free, and takes one hint: the second letter, for 150 coins (removed from circulation) and 15 seconds off your personal timer. Easy and medium words have no hints. Only you see the letter; your opponent gets a notice. With Scramblio Plus, the hint costs no coins — the 15 seconds still apply.
Can I delete my account?
Yes — in under 10 seconds. Open the app → Account → Danger zone → Delete my account. Or visit our delete-account page for the full process and what data is removed.
